Privacy

Bart James Music uses minimal first-party measurement to understand whether people are actually finding and using the site.

What the site measures

The site may record aggregate page views, referring page information, basic browser and language information, campaign or UTM parameters when present, and clicks on outbound links such as listening and social destinations.

Raw IP addresses are not stored by the Sweetgrass website analytics layer. A one-way salted hash of the network address may be stored with an analytics event and used for duplicate-event control. The site does not attempt to identify a person across unrelated websites.

What the measurements do not prove

A page view is treated as observed first-party exposure. An outbound listening click is treated as engagement. A click is not counted as a stream, listener, follow, save, purchase, revenue event or proof of incrementality without separate authoritative evidence.

Third-party destinations

If you choose an outbound link, the destination operates under its own privacy practices.

Search measurement

Search engines may provide aggregate impressions, clicks, queries and related performance information through their webmaster tools. Publication or indexing alone is not counted as human reach.
